I have a customer that has bought a Jones & Shipman cylindrical grinder model 1305 10" X 40" they need some centers, no info in any of the books of the size, this is what I came up with small end .775", large end .905", 3" between measurements, any info would be appreciated.

Sounds like Morse #3.

That works out to approximately 0.52"/ft taper which does not correspond to any standard taper, but is closest to Jarno taper which is 0.5"/ft. MT #3 is 0.60235"/ft.

It quite possibly is a Jarno #8 as Jarno tapers are common on grinders. It also can be a proprietary taper.

From what I've read and seen it looks like the taper is a Jarno #8, now to get them to order 1 and see if it fits.
