cutting a tooth on a rack

How would one make a part like this one in the picture. Meaning how would I cut the teeth? I will make a cut with a thin slitting saw to make the vertical face of the tooth. It will leave a small land at the base which will be no problem. Then rotate the head of my mill to the correct angle and use an end mill to cut the long slanted face.

I was just wondering how to make this tooth form if it would be necessary. I could dress a grinding wheel to the correct angle and do it that way maybe but other than that I do know how to make the tooth profile.

    Is it possible?

Use a dovetail cutter in a mill with a tilted head.

Wouldn't this require an impossibly long reach cutter.

Depends on if you're cutting the long flat with the bottom of the bit or the side of the bit

Slow, but your shaper will also do it comfortably.

A horizontal mill with the right cutter would make quick work, too.
I've also seen arbors made to use horizontal mill cutters in a vertical mill, but I'm not sure if those were shop-made or are readily available.

They are readily available in R8. The stub arbors work well on a right angle head too.

I'm with the dovetail cutter idea providing you can find a dove tail cutter with the desired angle. I've seen 60 and 45 degree DT cutters, don't know if they come in any other angles.
