I know didly about cnc but found a large batch of stepper motors that I need to know have any use for CNC. They are LIN Engineering 8618M-1 1P, 1.8 degree step, 6.0 Amp, 0.9 Volt, 4 wire, made in Taiwan. All brand new in boxes & to me look well made & are heavy. I looked them up, called to company but don't know what even to ask. Any help will be appreciated, Thanks

Thanks Sam! I found that but not sure if this model would be work well for machine shop builds like cnc plasma tables, or converting lathes, mills etc to cnc as I can buy 90 pretty cheap.

They should be useful-they are not the more-current "hybrid" motors, which have a square body-but should be useful nonetheless.

Flylo,
I have used similar motors in various projects wit excellent results. The latest project was to put on of the motors on a rotary table, and it also works very well. I did use all LIN drivers and hardware to complete the projects. I have also found the folks at LIN to be very helpful. Had some engineering questions about controlling the turntable so I could get degree increments, and they were quick to respond and help.
