I have this mill named "Select"; probably Asian, but I would like to find the manufacturer for operating instructions. Does anyone have any info? It is a 6 X 42 with DRO and power shift. Thank you. Dick W

It is a pretty generic tiawanese mill, you see them with all sorts of different names on them, kent, doall, birmingham, etc. Nothing wrong with them.

It's probably from around 1985. At that time I was looking at a smaller "Select" brand milling machine that had gotten a good writeup in Live Steam magazine. Presumably the machine you're looking at was another offering of whoever was importing and branding them as "Select." The smaller machine I was looking at was from Taiwan.

I doubt that importer is still in business.

High Quality Tools may have parts which might fit that machine. They supply BP and clone parts for many different machines.
Their phone is 216 944 0144

... I would like to find the manufacturer for operating instructions.

It operates exactly like a regular Bridgeport, so operating instructions??

The lathe in the picture looks like a Hendey.

A 14X54 Hendey is a nice machine.
I hope he is upgrading and not getting out of the hobby.

I am losing the lease on the hangar and have no place for the big stuff like the lathe, mill and 16 inch disc sander which are all 220 3 phase. I will need to get some smaller tools for the house. DickW
