carbide tip clamping styles

Most of our lathe tooling uses throwaway tips, there seem to be lots of variations in the clamping methods. Are there any types to avoid, or are they all good? I notice that the top manufacturers such as Sandvik and Kennametal use a variety of styles.

I think all the manufacturers have basically the same clamping styles, clamp, clamp and eccentric screw, center screw etc.
