Was bored and thought I'd take a look at what bikes were available. Saw a 'corvette' trike listing, took a look. Wow, it's scary looking.

I can't believe someone would think those housing bolts would work for that.

We don't need no stinkin frame! A perfect way to build a machine. Start on the inside and work you way out! Bolt the drivetrain together and build a frame around it. That way everything is lined up and you know things will fit! Perfect Redneck engineering. Or not.

Built like a tractor..... old stuff. 'Course they used big cast iron for tractors......

Yawn.........

Yeah, except that I'll bet there's no secondary frame in the "plan" for that thing. Pretty scary all right but not surprising given that so many people have no concept of the strength of a given set of components. Lots of tractors have no "frame" as such but they use heavy cast components to tie everything together. Tractors also aren't capable of going 80-100 mph. Take that thing out for a good run, even at normal highway speeds, hit a good bump and you've got an instant two-piecer. Boggles the mind to think of what happens next...

No brakes, no title, no cooling system, no exhaust system, no computer, isn't the Corvette pretty much fly by wire these days?. Just a few minor details to complete.

It has the Corvette IRS, how would that work out with a motorcycle?

Naw....that is a bot. It is going to annihilate Razor! They will name it Grenade. When it blows it will clear the whole arena.

I don't know what you Nancies are going on about, but that's modern sportbike technology right there. Using the engine as a stressed member and all.

I like the tractor lineage. Put a 3pt hitch on it, and I'd cut the grass with it no prob. The $7000 is the real WTF here, guy must be a famous bike builder or something. Or maybe I just don't understand art, or engineering, or whatever the **** that is.

Nuthin spells excitement like "hot spinnin gears in yo face" lol

probably won't be that hot cuz that potmetal at the back of the trans that's having to deal with both hinge and torsional stress is going to shell out at the end of the driveway before he even "hits the road" lol

I just passed on a CanAm Spyder with auto shift & 1400 miles on it for $7,000.

I can't believe the number of people who seem to think that's anything other than (ugly) yard art.

Where do you sit? On the distributor? I bet that's fun!

I think people are just having fun. It clearly isn't a real vehicle.

-you only go as far as whatever fuel is in the fuel line
-you'll be deaf before the fuel runs out (unmuffled exhaust is LOUD at anything above idle)

The guy probably just had some parts he wanted to get rid of, and is now hoping that someone is foolish enough to pay 3-5X their value with them bolted together instead of just in a pile.

Yeah, I never looked after the first glance. Bigger question is when did they ever make a 305 Corvette? TBI was introduced on 1982.

The fork mount pretty much precludes the installation of a water pump as well.

I think it was 80, right before the "no year". It was garbage, I think 190hp... JR

No, you didn't zoom in on it. He's made the access available on the bigazz mount plate as you can clearly see the water ports. What makes you chuckle is when you zoom in that close, you can realize he's got the triple clamps on backwards. You think he woulda went the correct way for MORE clearance. Clearly yard art as has been said, but also a waste of an Corvette IRS differential. At best, it will Probably be good for doing burnouts in front of the house until you break the bell housing.💩🚽⚰☠🏥🚥🚑 (pick one, they all fit)

Yes don't think for a second that last statement hasn't crossed allot of our minds... what a waste indeed, for when the rear end of the trans lets goes guess what's going to be beating around on the pavement? I mean after the proud owner has already become one with it lol

After looking at the IRS I can imagine using two of those and building a quad with articulating steering . Oh yeah!
