I recently made a shaker style candle table and used my six sided 5C collet holder to index the spindle to machine the dovetails for the legs. I know that most woodworkers do not have such things but when one can use something from one discipline in another it sort of make both of them necessary. Pics below.
Here is one when finished

Of course now that I made one my daughter just had to have it and now I must make several more.

I love shaker style furniture Paul, it goes with any decor, Nice work, very nice work.
Here is a picture of a shaker style small end table I made for a preacher I liked real well, it is made of walnut and maple, all done by hand with hand tools even the inlay was hand planed to size and thickness and the cuts for the inlay were also done by hand, first time I ever tried a french knot. The Shakers would frown on the inlay tho.LOL

Thanks guys. It was fun to make. Got another one going that is 87% of the first one. It will be an end table for the sofa.

Wow, thats nice, really nice. excellent work. The inlay looks flawless from here.

Very nice work I have a lot of wood working tools but have not deveolped that level of skill yet.

Very nice work Paul. That is one thing fun about shopwork, just trying to figure out how to get something done is enjoyable.
