Hello George,

I'm a subscriber to 2 of the HSM magazine's and am wondering if Village Press has a archive list of what projects were in what publication.
I subscribe to another publication unrelated to machining and in the December/January issue they list what projects were in the previous year's publication's, which is really helpful for considering them in the future.
Is there such a list internally to Village Press that can be made available, and would VP consider doing this in the future year end publication's.

Look forward to your responses.

Village press used to publish 'Projects'. A large format, hard bound book containing projects from Home Shop Machinists magazine. I have about 10 of these but have not seen any new ones for some years.

It would seem that VP is may resume printing projects from post issues; I had a letter about using one of my old articles awhile back.

We do include an index of the previous year in our magazines. For HSM, it will run in the March/April issue, which I'm working on right now. While the index is not organized by project, most of our titles are descriptive enough to get the idea of what they are about. For an online, searchable index, visit our website:

Regarding the Projects books: They typically cover two years of the magazines. We've had some retirements the last few years and work on the books has slowed to a crawl. However, we did just release Projects 11. https://secure.villagepress.com/store/items/detail/page/5/item/3422

Just looked at the link to projects #11. I see there is a very brief description of the contents. Is there a better listing of what the various projects are?

Yes, but I don't have access to the files and will have to copy down the table of contents. After a week away I have a few fires to take care of, so give me a day or two.

Hi George,

The links are great!
I'm wondering if you could post the table of contents for the earlier "Projects" books either on the books individual purchase site or as a list that you can post. I assume the description on the VP store site for the projects is not all inclusive, is that so?
The reason I'm asking is, I would like to find a project in the appropriate book to buy.

I'll get a file on our HSM site that has most of the books' table of contents listed that you can download and review. I'll have to wait until Kelly gets back to upload it. Hopefully she can get to it today.

The download page is:
