It's official... YOU SUCK! :)

Brilliant score! I trust we will soon be salivating to threads about you heat treating all manner of parts and tooling in this new kiln?

Now if I should run across one like that for $100 I'll feel like I'm getting screwed!!!

If it was raining soup I'd get a fork.

I did a quick conversion, calculating the 110v vs 230v mains in SA and then $50 to $14 per ZAR rand and after some number crunching to assess the value of your find I have determined that ... Jip you guessed it ..You suck... Now I feel even worse about my 2 days spend trying to get a old kitchen oven to heat up to 600C ... Great find ...enjoy

It was advertised for $100. When i went to pick it up the fellow said he plugged it in and it did not work and wanted to know what i would offer. I offered 25, he said a little higher. I said 50 and he accepted. Deal done.

The control does not work, but the elements are good. It'll be fine once I install a digital controller.

When he checked out the kiln did he engage the "kiln sitter" on the front there? It would require a cone to be placed inside.

What is it ? It looks like a heat seeking portable toilet. That'll never get your bum cold in winter. That can be painful when you have to go to the hospital to have a normal portaloo removed surgically, especially when it freezes to your cheeks .That can also be embarrassing especially if you get stopped by the cops for driving erratically with that thing sticking out from under the trousers _ Pants in the USA .
