This is what I believe to be some sort of CNC adhesive applying machine. Its at a local industrial salvage place I frequent. Im pretty sure it could be had cheap so thought about maybe making it into something else. Not sure what parts may or may not be god but its indoors and seems in ok overall shape.

Might be OK for light duty routing or engraving, small drilling. Too light duty for milling. The parts may be able to be used to build something else. Maybe a 3D printer.

looks like it would be pretty straightforward to convert it into a CNC router. Just need a table, perhaps some drives and a PC.

Im going to get a price and see. If its dirt cheap I might pick it up. Looks to be a good starting point for maybe a router or possibly laser engraver etc.

Looks like you're just about on your way to "you suck". I like it a lot.

Well.... they gave me a price. 500.00. I might be nuts but I think it will be setting there a long while.

They mentioned they planned to part it out anyways so if I need something let them know. I think ill keep watching it set and see what happens.

It would be a heck of a deal for applying gasket goop or really snazzy icing of cup cakes. But for a home shop I really can't see much of a use.

Unless you're really into cupcakes crowned with message of the day motif's I think you did the right thing walking away.

I cant imagine he will get close to 500 even parting it out. The unit seems to be a bit dated by looking at the controls. The servos could of course be sold assuming they work. The electronics are worthless. The rails etc could be sold providing they havent rusted. Maybe the head which applies the sealant is valuable I have no idea.
