Morning

DSG 13/30 1969

The head and tailstock tapers on my lathe are listed as a No3 morse taper. Fine in the tailstock but the headstock requires a sleeve/bush to fit the taper into.

Any one got any idea what the primary headstock taper is?

Thanks

Al

The manual lists it - 2" large end 1:16 taper which equals .75/foot.

afaik its a special, not any series i know of, so if you want one, make one.....or check your investments to see if a call to DSG is a possibility.

I've never thought or worried about it as when turning between centres its imo highly preferable to turn a stub in situ and drive the dog by the three jaw. Fast to set up and more accurate.
