There's a whole series of TV shows about his work. He was one of those rare individuals who could turn his hand to anything mechanical, a true old fashioned engineer.

One of the best hour/fifteen I've spent on Youtube. I want his air horn. No extra tools in his bag, very stingy with his tool.

You will find hundreds of Fred Dibnah videos stretching from his early steeplejack days to late in his life. He was the honorary president of our museum (http://www.nmes.org/) and our current chairman worked with him. Very British.

I've watched several of the series he hosted for the BBC. He had so much FUN going on about steam engines and old-school technology. Even the stuff I didn't really care about, it was worth watching just to see how much he enjoyed what he was about.
