Bridgeport mill way wiper bracket?

On the rear side of the saddle, is the bracket supposed to be in two pieces or one, a friend of mine says its broken into two pieces and I say that it is supposed to be in two pieces to be able to remove.

Who is correct?

its one peice just won a pair off ebay

dont know if its going to stay in one peice though ,dont fancy taking the whole table off tp fit it .
