I went to HF today.(No flames please) I was gonna pick up another bench grinder but wound up getting their double end carbide grinder instead. How bad could it be for $120.00? I can always return it.
I an suprised. The finish is good the castings are sanded with no snags anywhere. The ground finish on the tables is good, no waves, and they're flat. They ride well in their trunions. They are easy to adjust. It The trunions are well finished with no flashing and the numbers are well defined and easy to read. It starts up and runs smoothly. Just for grins I sharpened some carbide lathe bits and the machine did an acceptable job. I have a vitreous wheel and a diamond wheel I'm going to mount to replace the two green wheels.

They are nice for the price. One area to watch is the On-Off-On switch. If you accidently rock the switch past off to reverse, it blows something inside. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//frown.gif

After smoking mine, I returned it but they didn't have anymore in stock at the time. I'll have to check out the sale again.

Several people on the site have them and the majority seem to like them just fine. Mine has worked perfectly.

Here is a recent thread with a little information:

Hi All,

I have one and I think it works very well. The price is hard to beat.
