I'm not familiar with M35. Will a set of these boring bars work on all types of metals? Is M35 a good material for boring bars? (I can get cheap carbide sets for about 1/4th the price but I've dealt with cheap carbide lathe tools before.)

Thanks,
Dan

Dan, I'm not familiar with the m35 cobalt but I try to buy cobalt all the time. It works very well for me in materials like stainless steel that can be a little tough on high speed cutters. Yes, cobalt will work fine on aluminum and mild steel. Most of mine are marked m42 or just cobalt.
