Does anyone know anything about a BARNS & OLIVER NO.3 UNIVERSAL TURRET LATHE?
I picked up one at auction for $400.00.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean Bardons & Oliver? We have them at work. 3 of them to be exact. Great for production work. B&O is still in buisness, but they do retrofits now. Slant bead stuff. I have a manual, I think, that I can scan and email if you like. I guess that I had better double check and see if is scanable before I offer. I also have the website somewhere. I know I saved it because it was not easy to find. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif Now that I look at it, the website was only hard for me to find.

Thanks for the great info.
I would love to have a manual if it is not to much effort. Did you get a chance to see the other items I won. The two band saws are my proudest items. Also, I purchase Vidmar cabinet full of tooling. I can't wait to see how much stuff is in the lot.

Thanks again,

Doug

Things at work were stupid yesterday or I would have got you an email with what I had. I'll be back in there on Monday, and I'll have one of the PM guys scan it in for me early in the morning when it is quiet, and when the real work gets done. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//wink.gif It may already be scanned, who knows!

Almost forgot, I tried your link but is didnt work. I went to see them nice bandsaws you won. Congrats.

Doug, I have the files but they are quite large. Please email me off line and we can arrange a mailing or if you have highspeed internet, we might try a file transfer, ftp, or something.
See my profile here to get my current email.
Cheers! http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

One thing to note: I am happy for your purchase, two.. if you purchased it at a auction in a "lot" people pick through it before you can load it. Taking what they want.

GRAB the tooling first.. we lost the book on the Index milling machine.. SOME *$##* grabbed it..
