Thanks Bill H
I ordered a surface plate and surface gauge. You saved me 35.00. They said that that code was good until the end of the month.

So, I need some stuff, and since I havn't used one of thede codes before, what is the prefered way of using them? Do you order on line, or by phone and just give them the code?

Either way, online, in the shopping cart, they have a box where you can enter the code in. On the phone, tell them you have the code for free ups shipping.

Just broke my 0.75 in. end mill, and need a couple other sizes also. Enco has putnam end mills on sale at a good price, think I'll order some and try the free shipping number (THANKS BILL). Can I assume putnam is made in USA? Might as well see what else they have that I need. I have to remember to only buy what I need and not what I want. Wouldn't you love to win a shopping spree at maybe Enco, MSC, or one of the other machining supply stores.

I would guess that by posting 'free shipping' codes on an open forum you're hastening the demise of free shipping. IMHO.

Boomer, I can almost guarantee that they love it when the shipping codes get posted here. Today I ordered about $250 worth of stuff and plan to place another order later this month. I wait for this code when I can.

I bet they're getting much more business than usual because of the code. That's the purpose of it.

Yes, it guarentees them atleast 50$ in sales, normally I'd spend 35 to 40$, end up spending over 55$.
I just got my triumph 135 deg 5/16 tin coated jobbers drill bit, and now I see how a properly grinded drill bit looks like. Also got a decent milling vise finaly.

thanks for the free shipping code, is "Enjoy" part of the code?

Ok, so I mus just be a magnet for problems. I ordered about $200 worth of stuff, and gave them the code. The guy said: shipping is on us, so I thought GREAT!

It arrived today, one of 2 packages, and a COD $25 note from UPS. I'll have to call to find out why. So where do these codes originally come from? Do some folks get catalogs with the code, or special customers get post cards...?

It's a code that they have to get together and think up every month ... just for BillH http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//biggrin.gif

I'd feel sorta guilty buying a surface plate and using one of the codes though.

COD always costs extra, ofcourse I don't think the promo makes any mention of that.

I Dont know Nheng, things just seam to come in 50$ bundles, hehe.

"I'd feel sorta guilty buying a surface plate and using one of the codes though."

No reason to feel guilty - in their latest catalog, which notes the free code, the plates are offered... the catch is a 12x18 is as big as you can get & stay under the 125 lb shipping limit.
