1969 Clausing Colchester.

Manual says for the head stock, Shell Tellus oil 27 and for the gear box Shell Tellus oil 33 and same for the saddle and slide one shot.

Follow the manual for 1969 or earlier or are there better choices these days?

Thanks

Vactra 4 in the carrage, Vactra 2 on the ways, DTE 24 (ISO32) in the gear box.

Here are some pictures of my bottles of oil at the bottom:

Sorry, you want to use Mobil DTE Heavy Medium circulating oil ISO 68 in the head stock... Don't use the light oil there.. I use it for my hydrolic variable speed, but that's different.

The apron sump in the carriage. Fill it with Vactra #4 -- you should have a little window somewhere (It might be painted over so scratch around if you can't find it)

Use Vactra #2 in the one shot pump. Or, remove the one shot pump and give it to me because my Clausing doesn't have one. http://bbs.homeshopmachinist.net//smile.gif

I have my bridgeport in the corner, and I built those two angled benches for easy access to tooling on both sides:
