One possibility, if you have a fair idea of the total value, would be to place an ad in the magazine(s) published by the host of this bulletin board (Village Press). Of course you'd need to make available a listing of contents to would-be buyers.

But nowadays selling the items individually on ebay would be the method of choice for most people. That would probably yield the highest value, but at considerable aggravation and effort on your part.

Otherwise, depending on your location, placing an ad and selling the whole shebang locally would be the simplest thing to do.

Check out ebay, it isn't hard or aggravating. You will be able to find everything that you want to sell, all being sold by sombody else. This will let you know the approximate value of your stuff. Then you can decide if you want to sell it through them, or wait 3 months for an add to come out in a magazine. Also on ebay you are reaching a lot more people instead of a limited readership, many of whom already have their own tools.

if you have access to a tooling cat. look up the tool and take the price of the new tool in half.
if you can get at least half the value or better I believe you are doing good.
