Lathe Purchase Update

Thanks for your input on the last posting.

Just thought I would let you know that I was successful in buying the Acer 1340G lathe at the auction.

I pick it up tommorrow and bring it home to temporary storage while I prepare space for it.

I paid $2300.00 for it and feel it was a good price.

Now the adventure begins.

My Wife is loking at me with rasied ewyebrows but not saying to much, I'll give you a couple of years to see what you can do with it.

Now the challenge is laid down and I must show it was a positive thing to do.

I'm sure I will be out here more talking with you.

Congratulations.

Once you make a couple of paying projects, and a few little presents for your wife, she will be encouraging you to buy a mill.

Get your sweetie interested in making jewelry. Mine spent a couple thou of her own money to buy a faceting machine, and good quality gemstone "rough" isn't cheap either.
