I use fine diamond disks for both carbide and HSS but for coarse roughing HSS I'd recommend something else. Maybe I could do with only one diamond...

I wonder if HSS is any safer? Cobalt binder is the nasty stuff in tungsten carbide and many hss grades contain same amount of cobalt as carbide does.

Search from ebay, plenty of sizes available. Even the chinese ones have been pretty good in these sizes (small m2.5 t8 heads strip sometimes.)
