Default Welding Wire

Radkins,

You were right on target with the Lincoln NR 211 MP recommendation. As I said in an earlier post, my welding store didn't have it and sold me some E71T GS instead. The E71 worked ok but only if you thoroughly cleaned the weld area first. Even then it was still hard to fill gaps. I happened to be in Home Depot the other day and saw a roll of the Lincoln wire, so I bought it. I made the last few joints with it and man what a difference. I was like night and day. It would take 2 minutes to weld a joint with the E71 and 30 seconds to weld with the NR211 and the weld looked much better to boot. This will become my wire of choice when working with old pipe.

Thanks

Tim
