    Well, I sure wish you the best, and hope you get better soon Alistair. Your inputs add a lot here. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from some of your comments. I still laugh when I think about your fictional account of wrecking your lathe.

    Alistair:

    My wife had Parkinson's so I know what you are talking about.

    The disease exhibits a wide range of symptoms and progression. I know of people who have had it for 20-30 years and it is reasonably controlable. I hope this is the case with you!!!!

    I wish you all the best;

    Pete

    Alister,
    If you can't get the shakes cured sit in a hot bath and get Blodwen to throw a box of soap power and your dirty overalls in.

    I'm truely sorry to hear that. I also have enjoyed your posts for both the knowledge and the humor. If we don't see you posting we will at least know you are listening.

    The best of luck with the doc, hope you have a good one. I'll include you in my prayers.

    Alistar,
    I enjoy reading your post. They generally keep me feeling humble! I'm no machinist to be sure but I have been around the block a time or two and I've learned that you can do as much if not more with tenacity and resolve as you can with experiance or medicine and science. We all need reminded of that from time to time. Be there any doubt, I'm reminding you of that now. I expect to see many more post from Alistar Hosie! Maybe you can straighten me out on this knurling thing they been talking about on this site !! Good Luck and I'll be watching for you.

    Ray, (photograher with fantasy to one day be a fine (okay, adequate) machinist!)

    Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

    Alistair,

    That was a cruel comment by Mr.Stevenson,he knows you are too parsimonious to spend money on soap powder. Just rub your overalls on a rock down by the river like you usually do.

    Seriously,I hope you can get some relief from your problem in the near future.

    All the best.
