How ironic.(sort of a funny story mabey youve been there) I recently got a little mill w/no tooling, so i odrderd two collets(1/2" and 3/8"), some 3/8 shank end mills and some other stuff........open the box COOL! MY TOYS ARE HERE!!! Well.. 3/8 shank end mill set,ok, 1/2" collet, uh......uh.....CRAP! I got the wrong collet! say, Can you POSSIBLY think of a use for an 11/32" collet? yea. a drill.. mabey some metric stuff.... oh man....Can you feel it? My wife nearly choked laughing when she saw my face fall. So I'll work up another order, and learn from the burn, PAY ATTENTION DUMMY!

3/8" is a good start. It'll hold and edge finder OR an end mill
Did you ever post a picture of your mill anywhere?

Don't shout; we'll all want one.
Who says that the old ones are the best?

A seller on E-bay that goes by the name "chuckjawtools" has B&S 9 collets at various times for $20. I got two from him and was well pleased. They are the same brand that MSC sells for $40 each. I have no afiliation with this seller. Bobby

Also try ebay seller colletking or something of that nature. He sells and has lots and lots of collets. I bought my lathe from him and he sold me set of collets, Hardinge and others at $5 a collet.
I helped search through his boxes and he has literally box upon box of collets. All the ones I got except for the few Hardinge wear new in the box with wrapper.
