That's odd, I've never seen Gold list anything with a starting price of less than the min. that they thought it was really worth. Say, if they think a lathe is worth $800 to $1200, they put it in at $800. If it doesn't sell for that, they just keep listing it at that same price. Not at all like Reliable Tools - Reliable just about always starts at $1.00 and still manages to get top dollar.
Maybe Gold has changed its tactics recently.

With that out of the way, it is nice to see the No Reserve sales. I email every seller who lists a reserve and 75% respond with their number.
The lathe sold for $255.76...............

It's far better to list for a buck. You will always get top dollar. People get caught up in that whole auction thing. They must have it at any cost.
