Nice, Real Nice, I really need to build one of these for .065" aluminum X 54" max. I built one (not near as nice as yours) for making sideboards for micro-sprint wings, what are the adjuster bolts on the back of it for???
Nice job Luke, this is something I always wanted to make, thanks for the photos
.
They are for setting the finger how far they are fron from the folding plate. It is to adjust for metal thickness and folding radius
The upper bolt on the sides run in a slot and the big fine thread at rear is the adjustment
Looks painful. Seriously, nice looking brake. Would be handy to have around.

Luke55, do you have any drawings for the brake? If so could I possibly get a copy? dougpfaff@sbcglobal.net

I was expecting to see an Xray of a broken finger.. Dang.
When in doubt, doubt your doubt.

Luke...the tensioning handles on the side...I assume they "overcenter" when pushed ahead then hit the little tab welded to the bottom to lock it...correct?
I like that. The one I built has a lot of use but isn't a finger brake.
Nice Job!
