    Industrial Hobbies mill.

I had no idea the silly thing was so big!

It stands 58" with full z-axis travel. I have a low ceiling (82") in the shop, so I have to decide whether I want to operate the thing sitting on the concrete or sacrifice a little vertical travel!

    Best,

A free car to replace the other free car that finally died after 4 years of faithfull service. People give me cars.

And best of all a copy of The Machinist Handbook #23. Slightly used, but in great shape. It was under the seat of the free car.

Also under the seat of the car was a large rock and a for real old fashioned tire iron.

I'm waiting for better weather to look under the rear seat.

I got two consecutive 4-day weekends, and lots of time in the shop. Bought myself a couple of toys, and I'll be posting pics soon. Long explaination to follow.

In recognition of my slowly faultering eyesight, my beloved gave me a nice 19" LCD display for the computer. Man this thing is sharp!

It's been wonderful so far. It's one of those rare years where we haven't had a big family get together where we all stress each other out.

    Happy holidays, all!

I got a gift card from my daughter good at Canadian Tire. Went shopping today and bought a spin saw, regular $80 for $20. Ball bearings and should be really easy to attach to the head on my mill (when operational) to use as a high speed engraving spindle.

Me to me, a new lathe (PM1027 gear head) along with nice clothes form the girl freind. Of course over the last month or so a number of misc hand tools for home projects which came in handy as I was putting in hardwood floors (all handnailed)
