My bandsaw must have a cold. It makes sound like a "choo".
My 1980-vintage Craftsman 12" bandsaw makes a sound like "choo" when I release pressure on the blade when cutting. The blade appears to be properly installed, the tracking is OK, and the rollers and guides are adjusted properly.
It's been doing this for a while, and changing the blade doesn't affect it. Blade life seems normal.
I hesitate to use the saw with the cover removed, so I can't tell what's going on inside that makes the sound. Any ideas?
