Post "?" for the computer savvy

When I try to view Rockrat's shaper movie I just get several pages of gibberish, looks like a mix of Greek, Russian, and what have you. Any way I can fix that so I can see the movie? Thanks.

    Jim,
It looks like rockrat uploaded it as ASCII instead of binary. Nothing to be done on your end.

Jim, do you have Quicktime viewer on your system?
I just took a look at the movie and it loads in Quicktime.

    Cool

Quicktime. is junk , loads slow and is always a small window.

I run a new porn link site and will never put up a .MOV link.

atleast quicktime doesn't crash the damn computer all the time and it can be fast forwarded without having to take five minutes to rebuffer the damn video like WMVs do

Thanks for the replies and comments. I checked programs, do have quicktime, updated it, but still get the same thing. guess I'll get along without it.

    Jim,
    It's actually an animation.

I know you said you are done with it but I went back and played a little. I could launch quicktime and File --> Open an URL in a new window. I was also able to go to start --> run and put the full URL there. This launches Windows Media player and also plays it.

Heck, even this copied link right here launches it

    Hey Sophiedoc,
Check the bios settings on the computer. many systems also have power management settings in the bios that are loaded at boot.
I cut it twice, and it's still too short!

First, what a bummer. I hoped that everyone could enjoy.

Second, the movie is an mpg. Or it should be from the best I can tell.

You might try to download it, save it, then play it. It plays inside of my Window$ media player and inside Winamp.

I have to admit ignorance on codex. I just used the assembler provided in Pro-E and made the movie. I have no clue what codex should be installed.

I'm open to information to help myself create things that everyone can enjoy on the web.

    Thoughts?
