rotary table
to Thrud, et. al.;
Received a HV-6 rotary table from Grizzly. Made in Taiwan supposedly by Vertex people ( says Grizzly). Body has black "crinkle" finish that I haven't seen since high school physics lab. Also coated with a lot less "cosmoline" than stuff I've seen from China; some slight rust on the machined faces of the body. Table and crank look nice except for unmachined areas of the T-slots. Markings are crisp. Movements seem smooth. Runout of center hole in table is 0.0007". Flatness around the edge of table is 0.0015" but flatness from center to edge along any radius seems to be less than 0.0005".
Anything else I should check on???

Be gentle when engaging the wormgear - you do not want to damage it. And do not drop it on yer big toe either! ...that's gotta hurt!
