    Post Bridgeport R2E4 CNC Mill

I have a Bridgeport R2E4 CNC mill that will not enable axis. It goes all the way through the boot up process up to the enable axis screen then shows a drive power supply error instead and wont acknowledge the error. I can try to enable the axis and hear the contactors pull in, but the axis motors are not getting power. Sounds like Drive Power Supply problem to me. Question: does anyone know of a retro kit that would bypass the Bridgeport power supplies and computer, or a source to buy a Bridgeport drive power supply?

I don't know that machine at all, but you might find a group that's more knowledgeable about CNC's over on the GOOGLE group alt.machines.cnc.

I've seen older Bridgeport CNC's in friends's shops with axis drive problems. Apparently there're a couple of transistors that are a source of trouble and have to be replaced frequently.
