    Post Enterprise manuals

I have recently acquired my first vertical mill & a lathe I can do some (hopefully)serious work with.

The mill is an 10" x 40" Enterprise made in Spain. I am unable to find any other markings such as model number or other info.

The lathe is again an Enterprise. It does have an ID plate. Mod# EL-2; Year 1974; Size 15"x40".

I'm looking for help finding manuals. CAn anyone be a help out there. If you have actual manuals I'm willing to pay the copying charges & postage.

I'm also looking for a set jaws for a 6" & the handle to fit a .75" square shaft of a Bridgeport milling vise.

    Thanx,
    Hal C.

    Try a search on www.thomasregister.com or http://www.tgrnet.com/

    Alternately try www.lathes.co.uk

If the vise is an actual Bridgeport Hardinge now sells and manufactures them http://www.hardinge.com/

No luck so far with those sources.
Hardinge seems to only carry collets & chuck jaws; nothing on vices or jaws for them.

    Thanx for the help,

    Hal,

I worked with a lathe very similar to the one you describe however I don't know the model number. It was made in India and was,I thought, a pretty nice lathe.

Well I have solved half of my problem of trying to find manuals. I just found a good deal on a Bridgeport mill with a J-head. Looks to be in good shape. The only things I have found wrong with it so far is the key pin in the spindle is missing & the cross feed has a litte back lash in it.

I plan on selling the Enterprise mill. Thanx to all that replied to my requests. Still looking for jaws & a handle for a Bridgeport vise though.
