    Post Metric Threaded rod source

    Hi All,

I have an Enco 10x20" (Similar to the 9x19")import lathe (the one that can't cut it's own spindle thread !!). The spindle thread is an M39 x 4 . Although I can get adapters plates (i.e., www.littlemachineshop.com) I'd like to use my existing tooling/chucks elsewhere in the shop. I'd like to make a bench holders out of my chucks (Threaded adapters mounted to a flange plate that is monted to the bench/vise) and also a similar adapter that can be mounted on my rotary table (Threaded adapter mounted on an MT shank.).

So.. the question is .. where can I buy a foot or two of M39 x 4 Threaded rod ???

    Thanks ALL !!!

    Canufixit...

(P.S. - My screen name comes from what every one asks me when they want something fixed ....)

You probably won't be able to buy it in the U.S.
I had to go to the UK for 16mm fine die.
So you might do a web search or have it made
in a better equiped shop, sometimes this is the only way to do it.
    Non, je ne regrette rien.
