    Default OT: Time flies...

    It seems only just a few years ago when my wife and I were laughing our asses off when our daughter informed us she was having twins. We couldn't help but think in terms of the payback effect she would have for being such an independent and sometimes difficult child.

    Today those twin grandsons of ours just left in uniform as Army Cadets for three weeks basic training and marksmanship instruction, one to Ontario and one to Southern BC. When we visited a couple of weeks ago we were present at their first Annual Inspection ceremony where they were promoted from recruit to private.

    Betcha Can,t find a woman who will admit to being able to remember back half a century!! (Men are SO much more realistic about these things!)

    I'm 56 now, 57 in August. My earliest firm memories go back to when I was two. When I was young I always had the half century mark firmly fixed in my mind because of that "magic" number, the year 2000. I would be 50 then and by then I should have my flying car. I still don't have my flying car. Where is my flying car? I want my flying car.

    Whoa, I know I'm a little slow but this is ridiculous. I'm 60, my son is just talking about getting married and my granddaughter will be 2 this year. (long story) Now I wonder what was I doing all those years instead of getting the job done.
