    Default cnc text editor

Anyone have a free text editor, one that will see a carriage return?
I once used vedit and it did a great job, but it is now a purchased program.

Sure. Go to Start>Run and enter Edit and click OK.

BTW, it puts a h0D0A (CR LF) at the end of every line.

If you would like something slightly more advanced then try this:

Dos was just too long ago. Besides, cant do a find and replace on a cr lf with it. Unless I'm doing something wrong.

BTW, if you try Notepad++ select the Mac format under "Format" and it will put only carriage returns (0D) after each line.

Will do. That might just cut it.

Funny thing, was looking for an editor and noticed that I can get to www.cncsimulator.com any more. Tried it on the wifes computer (on the same network) and it will go. Guess I'm going to start looking for trojan / worm files again. Grrrr......

Haas offers a free editor that's pretty cool:

Thanks Bob, will give that a try.

Also found the problem with my browser, now will just have to keep watching.

Aint life fun. All I wanted to do was drill a few dividing plates with the cnc and it turned into "fix everything on the computer" day.

Will give an update on the dividing plate.
