Question Any body have a clue?

I got this a while ago in a box of other tooling and still have no idea what the heck this is used for. The tapered rod is the same as each hole. The hole are marked from 5-20 and there is a 17° in the upper right. So does any have any ideas as to it's function.

Wow... where did the time go. I could of swore I was only out there for an hour.

looks like a dapping punch set used in art metal work but I can't see how it would work forcing the metal into the holes. more likely a form set for making some felt, leather cones for some purpose. force and form the wet felt, leather into plate with the punch forming the interior shape to be mounted on something.Only way it could work with metal now that I look at it would be with tubing close to the size of the mid point of the cone. Since all the holes look to be the same size in openings at the bottom. The numbers are probably metric as 5.5, 6.5 ect. What are the two markings below the 7 and 6.5 if one looks like pepe in a oval they are an art metal working/jewelry tool making company in Europe

Its a jewelers bezel forming punch and die, you make a flat "washer" or "doughnut" out of whatever soft metal your are fabricating your stone setting or ring from, the maximum diamter of which is slightly greater than that of the stone that you will set, place it in the die, and hammer the punch into it, if done carefully it makes a funnel shaped form that is hard to make any other way with any repeatability,or speed.( for short runs that is )

I really like the Xena idea. She was on a show a few weeks ago as a blonde, still has those long legs to die for. To answer your question; does anyone have a clue?; naw, you won't find that here!

Its an Old wind meter of the 17th century, the various depth recesses are the way of measuring how fast the wind was blowing, you would always start with the deapest and work your way to the shallowest untill the dildo fell over -- then you would look at the gauge numbers and that would tell you the wind speed, these were used extensivly by the french, later it was found to also be an accurate measure of seismick disruptions and was the predicessor of the modern day richtor scale, after that when electricity was discovered the tube was hollowed out and a little electric motor was installed usually by means of epoxy, the motor had an offset weighted flywheel and the devise was use in doctors offices to create a pleasurable experiance for women, the aparatus was given nicknames like "thin lizzy" "steely dan" and "pink floyd",,,

Go for the mud. I have it on good authority that Jello is cold, and therefore has undesirable side effects. Don't ask how I know.

Jello is only good for chick vs chick wrestling - the cold makes them perky

Mud is much better for guy vs chick
