semi OT: notebook dvd/cd-rom adapter w/pics
Someone a while back either on the board or on their website mentioned using a notebook dvd/cd-rom drive in a custom built pc enclosure for a cnc conversion and needing the ribbon cable adapter.
The needed adapter is a slim cd-rom IDE adapter.
This is a picture of notebook dvd/cd-writable drive installed with a similar adapter.
Here are a couple of pictures of the tray used to mount the dvd drive.
