Not a lot of machining on this job, but here's one reason I decided to get into metal work:
A broken tuner bearing support on a Martin guitar made in 1867:
The finished job:
It took a bit of doing, but I was able to replace that part without removing or disassembling the worm shaft, or losing any of the original patina on the brass.
