Bench grinder arbor

Aren't most bench grinders equipped with a 5/8" arbor?

I picked up a Marco grinder at a garage sale today on the way to work for $3. It has two (very worn) wheels but I'm wondering about being able to replace them because the shafts look smaller than 5/8"

I'm at work right now so I don't have any tools to measure with, but I'm pretty sure the shaft is only about 1/2" and I want to replace at least one of the grinding wheels.

Depending on the size and make of the bench grinder, the arbors can be different sizes, most new grinding wheels come with plastic bushings to adapt the wheel, to the almost any bench grinder. If your putting a used wheel on the grinder, they might not be there. Most of the industrial suppliers, that sell new wheels, will also have the bushings seperately.
