    Cool Whoa! It's a Sculpture! No, It's Transportation!

    It's both! And it's freakin' cool! Simply gorgeous piece of work by a Belgium artist of a panther which he apparently rides down to the local pub when he wants a drink! You can see more pics and videos on his website. I'm just gobsmacked by the thing.

    I cannot believe what some people do in this world ------ ummm, somebody needs to tell him that his cat is leaking oil perhaps a little portable "litter box" attached to the underbelly with some strings? only trying to help...

    This year better than 40,000 attended the second annual Maker Faire here in the SF Bay Area one weekend in May. On hand were countless weird vehicles and robotic contraptions, including this "house trailer"



    Creepy crawly robots:



    and, dare I mention it, pedal-powered racing cupcakes:



    I've never seen so many making so many. . .

    I'll start by saying I couldn't be happier living where I am, but I do miss this kind of stuff. I grew up in the Seattle area. There wasn't anything like this I knew of, but there was always someone building something goofy and fun and driving it around town.
