steam valve silver seals

Has anyone ever worked on or made these?
We have some coming into the shop and I have never worked these, any into is greatly appreicated.

Yup.

Gotta get a good finsh and a sharp edge on that bevel. Problem is the material is the mildest of steels and tears like crazy. I used to use Tap Magic by the gallon and mirror edged dead keen tools. HSS only needless to say.

The hard part is keeping the plate shop from polishing the bevel to death. Shove contracting for the plating onto the customer so he "gets exactly what he wants".
