Mach 3 or division master

I was looking at one of the rotary tables that arc euro trade has



was thinking of running this with a division master control

but I had a thought, would mach3 do the same job? as easy and if so I'd get a load of other features, and learn a bit.

Or am I over complicating things?

I think Karma has answered your question for you: I don't think the DivisionMaster is still being sold.

Edit: I stand corrected! I just noticed that Lester Cain (an active member of the ShumaTech DRO community) is now selling DivisionMaster kits:

Following an arrangement with Tony Jeffree we now have a kit version of the DivisionMaster digital indexer. This will be available in in several levels of build, from a basic set of boards with pre-programmed processor, to a full kit including everything you need to build it. Currently everything is in stock.
Finished units are no longer available from DivisionMaster but we are now in a position to build finished units to order.

Quite a few ways.

Mach3 is probably top end, you need a reasonably decent PC, monitor and keyboard, licensed copy of W2K or XP and a Mach license at $159.

TurboCNC is a Dos based controller, a cut down version of Mach but only needs a clunker of a PC, freeDOS and no license.

EMC is part way between but needs Linux, free OS and free program but the Linux part puts many off if they are not conversant with it.

Master CNC utilities isanother free program that can do this but again requires a computer.

Division master is a stand alone box, no OS or computer and very portable.
