Default Congratulations JTiers - Your article in HSM

I just got my HSM in the mail today, Christmas Eve, containing the article "A Six-sided Block for 3C Collets" by Jerrold Tiers. Well written, with good photos and drawings. Again, congratulations and Merry Christmas!

    Yup, A first class job.
With one exception, the lettering should have been done on an engrave-o-graph.

Someone else asked that question a couple of days ago, but...I haven't seen the article yet as I still buy my copy from the newsstand. I have always appreciated J's ability to convey information and explain himself in the written form. I'll look forward to the reading it.

I've been on vacation...... i.e. at the in-law's eating Christmas dinner and doing fix-it tasks, as well as out in the F-I-L's shop messing around. And totally ignoring computers.............. except for fixing my wife's sister's computer..... (Ugh..... software issues....., really needed to get into the registry, but of course had no reference materials with me....)

    Thanks for the compliments.

I sent in several articles only last August, I was very surprised that one got printed so soon. They must be digging in the barrel bottom....

If you'll send in an article on an engraver guide, I'll make one and use it in future!

Any one know how soon they typically pay after publication?

Great article Jerry! In fact, this issue was pretty darn good -- they dropped the Shopsmith article

I'm off to bed to read the Phoenix mill article. I'm not interested in building it, but the spindle design looks well done...

Jerry, if I remember correctly, I got paid about the middle of the month following publication. But it's been a couple years. Funny about how articles get picked for printing. The last one I submitted was printed first, and the first one was printed last. I liked your article, So keep 'em coming.

Great, that article has finally gone away, apparently there is an article something relevant to my new scopes (so says Wolfie?), AND sounds like J has a nice article of interest too. Typical luck, mine still has not yet arrived and seems I'm the last to get it? SOL as usual...
