    Post Cabin Fever Expo

With the cost of the fuel, I was wondering if the show this year will be a little on the lean side. Will the "non-local" vendors, HSM types, and gawkers just "write this one off" and be "noshows". I expend a good percentage of the "shop budget" at the show. Any feedback from the crowd?
Today I will gladly share my experience and advice, for there no sweeter words than "I told you so."

It may hold some back but if anyone puts a calculator to it they'll find it only will cost them $50 more this year if you figure gas is 50 cents more per gallon, they average 20 MPG on the road and drive a total of 2000 miles. These gas prices hurt in town driving more then on the road vacations IMHO. HOWEVER, many won't put the calculator to it, bite into the media stories of how these prices are hurting people and swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

i'm planning on going (it isn't that far of a drive for me). i would think most of the vendors would still be there, and most of the folks who display stuff as well. let's face it, it isn't like there is one of these shows every weekend in every town in the U.S. i consider myself lucky to live near this one so i try to go every year.

We will be there from Green Bay, about 900 miles one way.

I'm coming and bringing several people with me. There's nothing you can do about gas prices, so it's not worth worrying about.

    Default I Will Be There

I will be there for the weekend and will be coming from Elizabeth City, NC. Would like to meet as many of you as possible. I'll have a table and would appreciate if you would stop my and say hi. I will have a unique combination of items - wind chimes and machineguns!

I'll be there Fri, Sat.& Sun. Look me up at the wooden oil derrick.

After reading Sid's post about the lodging for CFE, the state of PA offers hotel discounts for the winter months. At almost any hotel, etc. in the state. If rooms are not available with the show discount, ask for the "State of Pennsylvania Cabin Fever" discount. Yes, both have the same name, but are two different discounts.
