    Default Hello to all

    Hello everyone.
I'm new to this forum and thought I would say hi before posting comments or suggestions on any threads. The internet can be a shady and anonymous place so in the interest of full disclosure I thought I would let you know a little about myself.
Although not a machinist, I've spent the last 15 years as a cutting tool rep for the likes of RTW, Hanita, Kennametal, Widia, and several others. I also did application support for several toolholding companies such as Royal Products, Parlec, and Rego-fix.
I'm sort of like the Snap-On guy: Not a mechanic but knows the tools and how they are used very well.

My main hobby is cutting tools. I'm fascinated by substrates, geometries, chip breakers and coatings. I consider myself blessed to be able to make a living at what truly interests me.

I tired of traveling several states some years ago and came home to my wife and beautiful 6 year old girl to start a small consulting/cutting tool business.
    Life is good.

I'm here to be a positive contributor. If I can be of any assistance to you please don't hesitate to contact me, my email address is in my profile.
    Cheers.
    Curtis

Hey, another Huntsvillian! Welcome aboard Curtis. I'm just a hobbiest myself, tho my son in law is a machinist (Dynetics). Regardless, I'm sure your expertise will be appreciated here.
We have a few other members here from the local area posting here from time to time.

Wow, that's amazing. First response from just down the road!
I've been in Dynetics a few times on Hanita's behalf and probably met your son although I've slept since then and can't recall his name.
    Thanks for the welcome!

Thank you to our families of soldiers, many of whom have given so much more then the rest of us for the Freedom we enjoy.

It is true, there is nothing free about freedom, don't be so quick to give it away.
