i just corrected my comp clock and it was 1 min out .......so actually happend 0:57
so took 1 min plus or minus to travel from john stevenson ......thats his area on the map !!!!

A 4.7 quake at 10 km deep isn't likely to cause damage. That's a pretty deep quake so by the time the wave reaches the surface it has spread out a lot.

Whats interesting for me is not the magnitude but the possible rarity.. Are they very rare in that area? We have them often being on the pacific rim so I expect them.
What would be odd if an area that has been seismically stable for a very long time all of a sudden becoming active. Good Ol mother earth. Shiftin and movin. Glad you didnt have any damage. JRouche
