I have a friend who lives up in the mountain town of beulah colo., He has a heavy right foot and
made a habit of cresting this one hill in his subaru outback at 110mph on the way home from work to experience the zero G effect (just for $hitts and giggles)

Apparently some of the locals started complaining and talked to the law, One day He's going through his routine of rubbing his head on the liner of the car and on the other side of the hill is a cop with his gun on --- He knew he was had, cop pulls him over walks up and says "Iv been waiting for you up here all day"
Friend says; "I got here as fast as I could"

Cop loses it and while still laughing gives him just a warning...

In the doldrums of lame ass excuses that these guys have to deal with on a daily bases some of them will actually find it refreshing when they pull you over and your not only honest with them --- you try to lighten it up a bit, then again -- you could run across a real hardass and it might make things a little tougher.

"I got here as fast as I could"
    Great answer.

I heard a story back in my college days in New Orleans. Seems that there was a road that lead to the LSU area in Baton Rouge that was somewhat rural and often the scene of fast driving by undergraduates that had also had a bit of spirits. One such lad was stopped for going well in excess of the speed limit and the officer asked to see his pilot's license. The driver promptly produced one. He also got off with a warning. True? I took it as such.

Yes, the officers of the law are human and do have a sense of humor. But, don't press it too far. And don't count on it.

    Make it fit.
