    Default 7016 &7018

Is there a lot of difference between 7016 and 7018 electrodes.

7016--- the 6 refers to Low hydrogen/potassium, AC or DC reverse welding current

7018--- the 8 refers to iron powder low hydrogen, AC or DC reverse or straight welding current

Of course the 70 is psi tensile strength in 10,000 pounds 70,000 pounds
1 is for all position welding

7016- General purpose low hydrogen mild and low alloy steel, medium deposition, penetration and slag.

7018-Iron powder-low hydrogen low alloy steel and mild steels where overall quality and reliability are necessary. Very good deposition, medium penetration, medium slag.

    Don't you mean "...in 1000 pounds..." ?
    i.e. 70,000 psi, not 7 million psi.
