    Default Doctor Demo...

Steve...you were right about the pipe notcher on the ironworker. I got a notcher finally. Wow! That thing is stupid quick. It was about $1000 but won't take long to pay for itself.
I see what you mean about just sorta eyeballing the second cut...they turn out pretty darn good for fences and gates.
I really like the "Take away 2 1/2"" for the rails and the 2 piece uprights...makes thigs so much easier.
This thing saves about 40 minutes on a 16 foot gate with the two uprights in the middle. Made me smile when I built 4 of them at the "old" price...lol!
There should be something about a Holiday Inn here but I can't think of it right now...

    Torker,
Keep going at the old price that machine has to pay for itself and its subsequent replacement or repair - thats capitalism in practice!!!

Peter..that's the plan! I gave my biggest customer a bit of a break on some of the stuff I make really good money on now that I have this ironworker.
Now he is winning some more contracts and I get more work.
I'm getting the idea how much the machine will cost me to operate now so figuring jobs long term is starting to make sense...as in ya gotta make money!
I am Capitalist scum ... and loving every minute of it!!

    Hey Russ,

What is this about the iron worker punching holes in tubes? How does that work?

Rob...it's the strangest thing...it punches a (half)hole in the bottom of the tube...only on the ends tho??? Then you move the "top" of the tube to the bottom...and punch that (half) hole. The holes aren't good for much but you gotta see how they make the tubing fit together...it's uncanny.... and you don't even have to stay at a Holiday Inn to make it work....
BTW...all the little punchout drops(the little other half holes....eeer...not really holes...hmmm)...I'm savin them up and I'm making you all rountuits for Christmas..

That would definetly save time. You have to buy different dies for different diam of tubing? Thanks for the video because i had no idea how it worked.

Oh i will be checking my mailbox EVERYDAY for the rountuits!!

Russ, Welcome to the fast lane.
One more little secret, it's not just an '' Ironworker'' You would be way surprised at how well it chomps off 2X4's for cribbing, etc. when your in a hurry.

Steve...that's funny you should mention that. Someone built a plywood extension for the chute on this machine...you guessed it...they cut and shaped the plywood with the punch press
