LOL! I finally got all this crap sorted out. Had a sore back last night so I sat down and figured it out.
Of course the first pics have to be about my most favourite machine in the shop..my ol' Ohio.
Nothin fancy..just a fabricated/machined angle plate.
Ya just gotta love this ol' thing..6" cut in one pass. Nothing too big here either..only .070 per pass twice just to true it up.
Finish is a bit rougher than I'd like but I've beat the crap out of these inserts on flame cut plates all winter..
Milling the high face

Tried to get pics of the spaggeti chips flyin but the shutter is too quick

Milling the last cut..the top is trued up..

A done deal..I just made a clone of a $12 China angle brace...only took 2 1/2 hours of shop time or a bit over $200

You used the Ohio instead of the Mill Drill

Could have slotted it on the Ohio Too..

Bguns...LOL! Nope.. I don't have any EM holders for my 50 taper.
And the 2" indexable endmill is the biggest I have for my M/D... doesn't do a thing for me compared to ol' "Clank and Bang here...(Clank and Bang..cuz if you don't bolt things down tight...yer gonna hear about it)

Fastrack...that's a very old piece of bigass angle iron i've been packing around for 30 years...always wanted to make an angle plate out of it! I have no idea where it even came from now..
Oh..and the mill...Ya...she's a beaut! 1930's technology...powerfeed everything...smooth as silk.. solid as a rock! Too damm bad the spindle has a wee wobble. Still usefeull tho..
